Tilt & Turn Windows
It can be opened fully like a casement window (inwards) or it can be tilted from the bottom, giving a smaller opening for ventilation. The tilted opening also increases security and safety as no one can fit through the gap.
- Ventilation optionsThe tilt function allows for top ventilation, easily enabling hot air to quickly escape through the top portion of the window. This also cuts back on allowing strong breezes into the room. The turn function, however, creates ample airflow and movement for maximum ventilation.
- Easy to clean With the window placed in the turn position, you can safely clean the exterior of your windows while inside your home.
- Better air sealsBetter air seals yield a tighter seal, creating an air-tight window. They are less prone to water leakage and cold drafts, and you’ll keep more of your heating indoors. This means you’ll need to use your heating less and can save
money on energy bills. - More secureThis type of window requires more robust internal hardware with multiple locking points. Additionally, the in-swing hinges further secure the window from being forced or pulled open from the exterior.
